Canada Scores in Waning Moments, Defeats USA 14-8
June 15, 2010 · Leave a Comment
SHAWNIGAN LAKE, B.C. – The USA Women’s National Rugby Team were defeated in the final moments of the match, yesterday, after Canada’s Olympic gold medalist Heather Moyse scored the game winning try in injury time to put the Canadians up 14 – 8 over the Eagles in Shawnigan Lake, BC. Only a point separated these two sides in their last meeting, with the Americans having the eventual edge, and today’s test was exactly as it was predicted to be: close. Playing their classic style, the Americans chose to keep the ball in tight, using their forwards as much as possible. The Canadians... [Read the full story]

January 7, 2010 · 1 Comment
Welsh Rugby I thought that in this blog I would give you an overview of the women’s game in Wales. This is a competitive league which supplies a significant amount of players to the Senior Welsh Women’s Rugby Squad. This year is the second year of the Regional structure which assembles five teams... [Read the full story]

It’s about Union
Shao-Ing It’s been sometime since my last post and for good reason. I write now off the back of a very busy first quarter and Singapore’s 12th outing to the Hong Kong Women’s Rugby 7s 2010. The women’s competition ended with a repeat of last year’s final between Chinese and the Australians with the latter...
