Welsh Rugby Wales Women’s coach Jason Lewis has paid tribute to inside centre Naomi Thomas who will lead the side out against Ireland in her 50th appearance for her country on Friday. (Ashbourne, KO 7.30pm) The talented Thomas has played in a number of positions across the backline for Wales since making her debut against the Netherlands in 2000. Charlotte Male The England Women’s Under 20s squad, who’ll take on France for the first time ever on March 21st at Sainte Nazaire, kick off 1pm, has been announced. Bristol’s Charlotte Male will captain England on their first outing this season, which also includes games against Wales in April and May. Welsh Rugby I thought that in this blog I would give you an overview of the women’s game in Wales. At present the South and Mid Wales Women’s League is looking very promising to date and is growing from strength to strength. There are three leagues up and running which are made up of the Premier League, Division 1 East and Division 1 West which consist of 17 senior lady’s teams. USA Rugby SAN FRANCSICO – USA Rugby concluded its two day Women’s Club National Championships on Sunday afternoon in front of over 500 fans at the Gaelic Athletic Association’s fields on Treasure Island. Canadian Rugby The Canadian under 20 women’s team had a satisfying one point victory over their US counterparts, winning 13-12, to wrap a quick five day assembly in Lakeland, Florida.
